Trainee Licence
Then you can apply for a Trainee Licence. This will help you prepare for the test of instructional ability, you will need to be sponsored by a Driving School. During the first 3 months of operating under the trainee licence you must Either; receive a further 20 Hours training. A record of this training must be kept on the form ADI 21AT, and must be sent to DSA before the end of the three month period, or presented to the examiner conducting the part three test, whichever is the earliest. At least 25 per cent of the training will have to be practical training. Download the ADI 21AT Or you must receive supervision for 20 per cent of all lessons you give from your sponsoring ADI. A record of all lessons given, along with the supervision The Licence should be seen as an aid to preparing for your part 3 exam The DSA will usually issue 1 Trainee Licence, however in certain circumstances the registrar may issue a second one. Some Driving Schools will supply cars, some prefer you use your own, it is possible to lease a dual controlled vehicle and the prices are very reasonable
